Sean Scully, Red Chamber || Dark Silence

Sean Scully, born in Dublin in 1945, has created one of the most extensive oeuvres since the 1970s, which has had a decisive influence on contemporary geometric abstraction to this day.

Numerous thematic and retrospective exhibitions with scientific publications in the most important museums on all continents confirm Scully's reputation as one of the most important painter personalities in the world.

After Scully opened the new location of Walter Storms Galerie in 2009, we are now presenting Scully's monumental painting "Red Chamber" in his 3rd solo exhibition in Munich's Schellingstraße, accompanied by a rare early work with linear structures and paintings from more recent times.

Scully lives in the Hudson Valley, New York and works in his studios in London, Berlin and Mooseurach near Munich.
