From September 20, 2025, KUNSTLABOR 2 will become a huge playground for children and the young at heart. The art and cultural center in Munich is showing the traveling exhibition "Seth's SPIEL(T)RÄUME" by the internationally renowned French street artist Julien Malland alias Seth.
In this interactive exhibition, Seth immerses visitors in the diversity and possibilities of play around the world. With dreamlike installations, paintings, sculptures and murals, the artist aims to inspire creativity and curiosity, with a special focus on the young audience.
"Seth's SPIEL(T)RÄUME" is a collaboration with the Musée en Herbe in Paris.

exhibition at KUNSTLABOR 2, Seth conceived new works around the theme of
"Play and childhood".
Interactive fantasy journey
The exhibition "Seth's SPIEL(T)RÄUME" invites visitors to join the artist on an imaginative and poetic journey. Visitors stroll through the reconstructed streets of Paris, where playing children cavort, creating an immersive urban environment. They accompany Seth on his travels to all corners of the world and take part in his encounters with children and their games from Madagascar, Indonesia, Haiti, Ukraine and China.
In this exhibition, the works almost seem to come to life,
games of our childhood come to life again and word games enter into a dialog
with their readers. The portraits of the visitors merge magically with the

in the colors of the rainbow, which Seth calls "vortex" and which stands for our
our imagination.
Children as Seth's mouthpiece
Seth is known for his large-scale artworks realized abroad as well as for his exchanges with locals of different cultures. He draws on people's imagination and on legends, myths and tales from different countries. Children become the mouthpiece of his concerns. He places their childlike characters
in a social and (geo-)political context. This idea of cooperation and education underlies "Seth's SPIEL(T)RÄUME". The exhibition reflects this approach with a scavenger hunt, many different games and illusions, all specifically for children.
Game specials for the opening
For the opening of the exhibition "Seth's SPIEL(T)RÄUME" at KUNSTLABOR 2 on World Children's Day, September 20, we are offering a colorful children's program with games, workshops and treats from 2 to 5 pm. Everyone is welcome!
Supporting program for the whole family and accompanying book
From October 3, a varied children's program will also start, allowing young and old to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of Seth's art in a playful way. Child-friendly and interactive family tours, scavenger hunts and creative workshops will make the visit a special experience. The exhibition will also be accompanied by a book aimed equally at children and adults, inviting them to discover a world full of cultures, games and fantasy.
