"I was away for over two years and during that time I went through the darkest phase of my life" -with these words, accompanied by dramatic music, the young artist from Hamburg returns after a long silence. On February 10, he posted a video announcing his new album. It's called "Sharaktah" - just like his stage name. A clear marker for the personal and emotional. Together with producers Steddy and BLVTH, he has created a sound that oscillates between quiet moments and booming outbursts, a mixture of vulnerability and energy, somewhere between rap, grunge, rock, rolling, shimmering trap parts, singalong passages and guitar elements, underpinned by German lyrics. Music that is incredibly moving, especially live.
But let's start from the beginning: Sharaktah made his musical breakthrough in 2021 with his "Almost Home EP" and went on to feature with well-known German artists such as Clueso and Edo Saiya. We listened to his debut album "Blumen wachsen durch Beton" up and down in 2023. Now he's back - and he's going one better.
