An ogre, a green solitary forest dweller, is haunted in his home by a horde of classic fairy tale characters fleeing from a castle lord who wants to capture them. The lord promises to restore the ogre's peace if he frees a princess from the power of a dragon for him. Computer-animated film adaptation of an American children's book that brings together many well-known fairy tales and takes aim at the kind of cuteness that dominates Disney films. The result is a lot of ironic humor that goes hand in hand with an exciting narrative. Technically excellent, captured in appealing images.
