Discover the hidden treasures of Blankenburg - experience a fascinating book signing with author Andreas Pawel and his book "Altes Gold", in which magnificent villas tell their stories.
Information about the book - "Villenstadt Blankenburg - Altes Gold":
Villenstadt Blankenburg" edition invites you on a fascinating journey of discovery. The old residential town of the Guelph dukes has the charm of bygone times, magnificent villa facades, fine interiors and historical backgrounds like no other Harz town. As in the first volume, "Splendor and History", "Old Gold" once again describes beautiful and interesting Blankenburg villas in response to popular demand.
And once again, the storyteller and the photographer combine their perspectives: The doors open. Once again, Clemens Bussert's opulently captured images and lovingly noted details are interwoven with a round dance of history and stories: Family history, town history, moral history - and Blankenburg's Andreas Pawel knows them all.
When the reader looks through the stained glass windows again at the end of the volume, he sees the transformation of the town, transience, disruption and new beginnings. It's like coming home.
