Silent Book Club

What is a Silent Book Club?
Silent Book Club ® is a global community of readers, with nearly 2,000 groups in over 55 countries around the world, run by volunteers. SBCs meet in cafés, bars, bookstores or libraries to read together.

What can I expect?
The first half hour we arrive, order something to drink/eat and make ourselves comfortable. This is followed by an hour of silent reading. At the end there is an opportunity to talk about what you have read, otherwise you can continue reading or leave.

Where do we meet?
We meet in the Literature Café in the Bielefeld City Library. The address is Neumarkt 1 and you will find the café when you walk past the main entrance of the library on the left-hand side.

What should I bring with me?
A book you are currently reading, a friend if you like, and about two hours. The book can be in any format (print, ebook, audio book ...) and you are welcome to do another quiet activity while listening to the audio book, for example.

How do I find you?
We organizers will be there to welcome you and there will be signs. Otherwise, just look out for a group of people with books!
