In 2025, the Silk Road Music Festival Hamburg celebrates its tenth anniversary over three days! Founded in 2015 as fresh::sounds - contemporary music of the Silk Road, it has stood for a dialog between contemporary music, multimedia and the traditions of the Silk Road from the very beginning. The aim was and is to open up new cultural paths and build bridges between countries and cultures. Over the past ten years, the festival has brought together numerous artists from different cultures and inspired a diverse audience. As a result, it has developed into a lively platform for intercultural exchange and an integral part of Hamburg's cultural landscape.

Closing evening - New voices, new perspectives I Cooperation with fluctoplasma
The last evening of silk::road::10 belongs to the musicians and young composers who point to the future with fresh ideas and bold sound languages:
- Lin Chen & Asya Fateyeva: percussionist Lin Chen (China/Hamburg) and saxophonist Asya Fateyeva (Ukraine/Hamburg) bring works by a new generation of composers to the stage: Alfira Ahmatjan (China/USA), Sina Fani Sani (Iran) and Candid Rütter (Switzerland). Their music combines global influences with a strong, contemporary signature.
- "Echoes of an Untranslated Voice": A lecture performance by Atena Eshtiaghi and Sarah Savalanpour (Iran), in cooperation with fluctoplasma. In this hybrid work of performance, text, archive material and sound, autobiographical memory, exile, gender and language intertwine - an artistic voice of young women in dialog with society.
- Video installation "Nexus": Nexus combines art, science and cultural history. Simona Fitcal, an artist from Romania who lives in California, transforms neuronal data structures into poetic landscape images based on elevation maps along the historic Silk Road. The result is an "inner cartography" - a visual network of thoughts, memories and connections. Constantin Basica 's music is based on the sonification and algorithmic interpretation of EEG recordings of his own brain activity while composing. Both levels - neuronal and cultural networks - merge into an audiovisual dialog about synapses, exchange and the plasticity of life.
- VR & stage: The evening will be visually enhanced by VR installations by Leonhard Onken-Menke (in cooperation with MMKH Hamburg)

A finale that celebrates the power of young composers - full of energy, curiosity and social relevance.
