After the great success of 2024, we are celebrating the legendary Capitol New Year's Eve party again this year! Once again, you can rock into the new year in the usual party-loving style. In the Capitol Mannheim, Back to the 80's and DJ Greg Silver will be providing an exuberant New Year's Eve party atmosphere from 9.00 pm. From 10 p.m., the Casino will also open its doors for an open party. Snacks will be available for consumption while stocks last.

With a colorful mixture of pop, new wave, rock, funk and Neue Deutsche Welle, Back to the 80s will sweep across the stage with concentrated rock power and revive the musical spirit of the eighties - shoulder pads included!

After the live concert, there will be Forever Disco with DJ Greg Silver. As a child of Mannheim, he has traveled the world as a DJ. He has DJed in clubs all over the world, including WMC Miami, Webster Hall NYC, Pacha Ibiza, Coco Rico Rimini, Loveparade Berlin, Mayday and Nature One.

Back to the 80s
For many, hardly any other decade was characterized by as much stylishness and an aberration of taste as the 80s: shoulder pads, neon leggings and leather ties are examples that not everyone remembers with pleasure. And yet the decade, in which conventions fell, perestroika emerged and hairdryers were in, developed a very special soundtrack that brought new momentum to discotheques and stereo systems.
Back to the 80s revives the musical spirit of the 80s. The six musicians sweep across the stage with a colorful mixture of pop, new wave, rock, funk and Neue Deutsche Welle. Already known from well-known formations in the Rhine-Neckar region, together they now fulfill the mission of bringing the vibe of the 80s back to the stage. Melanie Haag and Bernd Pfeiffer form the vocal front of the band. In the rhythm section, Bernhard Aulbach (bass) and Tom Beisel (drums) provide the powerful and driving beat that drove millions to the dance floor. Christopher Stumpf provides the virtuoso synthesizer sounds that shaped the sound of the 80s. The package is completed by crisp riffs and singing solos from Matthias Klöpsch on guitar.
Back to the 80s perform their program with songs by Kim Wilde, Queen, Spandau Ballett, Eurhythmics and Tom Schilling, among others, in the authentic original sound. Back to the 80s is therefore no ordinary cover band. Back to the 80s is a time machine that transports its audience back to the days of Rubik's Cube, sneakers and Miami Vice with a rousing stage show.

Greg Silver, born in Mannheim, has established himself over many years as a permanent fixture in the international DJ and producer scene. With an impressive career that has taken him from the hottest clubs to the biggest festivals worldwide, he has become a respected name in the electronic music scene. His sets are energetic and varied, and he is a master at engaging audiences and creating unforgettable club nights.
