A workshop for small repairs - with heart, creativity and a cup of tea
A hole in your favorite pair of jeans, a sock that grandma still knitted, a moth hole in a woolen sweater or a cardigan with an open seam - many things can be saved with a few stitches. In this workshop, you will learn practical tips and tricks for repairing clothes using simple hand sewing techniques and making them a little prettier in the process.
Together we will practise basic stitches, close seams, sew on buttons and mend small holes. And if you like, you can try your hand at creative, visible repairs - such as colorful or embroidery or inspired by weaving techniques or sashiko stitches.
Instead of throwing things away, we discover the joy of appreciating and preserving clothes and giving them a personal touch. The result is pieces with a history - and perhaps even new favorites.
No previous knowledge is necessary. All you need to do is bring a few items of clothing with minor damage - we will provide everything else.
