Hallelujah - the hit musical Sister Act is back! After more than 100,000 enthusiastic visitors, the nuns are coming back to Munich in 2026 to present a heavenly show experience based on the cult film of the same name. When disco diva Deloris suddenly has to go into hiding in the convent, two worlds collide: look forward to a divine spectacle full of heavenly humor, beloved characters and a rousing soundtrack.

From the nightclub to the convent

Nightclub singer Deloris van Cartier accidentally witnesses a murder after one of her performances - and suddenly finds herself in the witness protection program. Instead of the glamorous limelight, a conservative convent awaits her, where she is told to go into hiding disguised as a humble nun - much to the chagrin of the strict mother superior.

In the church choir, the singer is supposed to become part of the congregation. But the nuns can't hit a note and so Deloris takes over the leadership. With her, every church service becomes an event and the masses attract more and more people. When the sisters finally perform in front of the Pope, the gangsters are on Deloris' trail and the nuns unexpectedly find themselves in great danger...

Singing up to heaven

Eight-time Oscar-winner Alan Menken (Disney's Aladdin and Disney's Beauty and the Beast, among others) sweeps the dust off the hymn books with rousing show numbers and sweeps the audience out of their seats.

Kevin Schroeder and Heiko Wohlgemuth translate Glenn Slater's song lyrics into German. Mary Robert, Mary Lazarus and Deloris dance on stage to hits such as "Zeig mir den Himmel", "Singt hinauf zum Himmel", "Die Welt, die ich nie sah" and "Lass die Liebe rein" and the audience sways along. A heavenly pleasure!
