(Minimal Non-Pop)

Minimal non-pop in its purest form: SixTurnsNine from the Rhineland combine trip-hop drum loops, reduced bass lines and vintage keyboards with warm, bluesy vocals. Their sound oscillates between light and dark, theatricality and fragility, post-punk power and hippie vibes - a cosmos that captivates fans of Massive Attack, Portishead, Siouxsie and Joy Division in equal measure.

The trio will be coming to Wuppertal on 01.11.2025 as part of the SOUL GLITCHES Tour. Anja Valpiani (vocals), Lutz Bauer (keys/electronics) and Philip Akoto (bass) will be presenting their new album "SOUL GLITCHES". In nine intense songs, the album tells of emotional "glitches" - disturbances in the emotional world - and impresses with a captivating mixture of post-punk, trip-hop magic and pop-noir flair.

The album will be released on November 14 on all common streaming platforms as well as on CD and vinyl.

TiktAAlik
(Trip-Hop / Electronic Music)

TiktAAlik is an Estonian/German trip-hop/electronic music duo consisting of singer Layn and MoS Renaud. Since its foundation in 2017, TiktAAlik has been booked for over 80 gigs & festivals (including Bochum Total, Chillin' Hennesee and Extraschicht) and impresses with Layn's present stage show and the dynamic and fat live sound, which is also refined by guest musicians (percussion, violin and trumpet).

When you immerse yourself in TiktAAlik's music, you feel like you're in the vastness and depths of Iceland. Thin layers of ice and hot geysers pass you by.

Especially when you hear the fascinating melodies of the singer, you are inevitably reminded of Björk. And yet the singing is far from a copy. Her own way of expressing herself, the way she plays with her vocal sound, her boundless emotionality literally captures the listener and takes them on a journey through the history of her songs.
