Skulpturenarbeit: Kopf

A figure can be created in many different ways. The course focuses on practical exercises to sharpen the eye for the proportions of the head and face. I use examples to show details such as the mouth, nose, eyes and ears. Another focus is on closely observing and feeling one's own body parts and functions in order to authentically implement facial expressions and gestures in one's own work.
Dagmar Langer's approach to creating figurative sculptures places particular emphasis on the expression of inner movement, dealing with emotions and the joy of developing a lively facial expression for your own bust. You will draw on your personal, perceived and experienced ways of looking at things and open yourself up to new perspectives.
I will introduce ceramic painting techniques and the use of ceramic paints (engobes) for the colorful design and painting.
