This interactive tour takes us to the sculpture garden of the Torfhaus Gallery. Selected family and women's sculptures created from various materials are exhibited here. We explore the works with all our senses and discover new dimensions when we engage with an object with closed eyes, but open ears and a fine nose. Do my hands prefer to feel wood, bronze or stone? Which figures and shapes appeal to me? We let ourselves be inspired by the diverse works and the stories that we experience with all our senses.

Dialogue tours for blind and sighted people

There is a high density of modern art in Westfalenpark. Sometimes large and obvious, sometimes small and more discreet. These diverse works of art provide the perfect setting for an inclusive dialog tour between blind and sighted people. In the course of the dialog tours, tandems of sighted and blind participants are formed. In addition to experiencing art in nature, the focus is on interpersonal exchange. The art historian Dr. Andrea Klotz will pick you up at the meeting point and you will experience Westfalenpark in a new way in the truest sense of the word!

With the dialog tours for blind and sighted people, Westfalenpark Dortmund creates space for inclusive and horizon-broadening encounters at eye level. The dialog tours are a joint initiative of Westfalenpark Dortmund with the Freundeskreis Westfalenpark e.V. and the Art in Public Spaces department.
