SLADEK

In the organizer's words:

SLADEK is a soul band consisting of singer and guitarist David Sladek, bassist Alvis Reid and drummer Raphael Vorraber. With their EP Loveless (2024), the group redefined their musical vision and drew inspiration from the soul music of the late 1960s.

The Austrian-based trio - in collaboration with producer Mathias Garmusch - now presents a sound that is honest, personal and timeless. This partnership resulted in a unified new production approach and marked the move towards analog recording. This resulted in their album Things Gotta Change(2025) with songs like Stranger and Here to Stay.

The band has proven to be a captivating live act, bringing the deep emotions of soul music and driving rhythms to the stage - encouraging audiences to sing and dance along. The trio is supported live by Taineh on keyboards and backing vocals and Mathias Garmusch on percussion.

It all began in 2019 with the release of their debut album Daydreamin', on which SLADEK presented their unmistakable blend of catchy R&B melodies and profound neo-soul influences for the first time - and immediately found favor with fans and musicians alike.

Further releases in 2021 and 2022 - including the EP Fabricated Reality - finally established the band as a household name in the scene.

By 2023, the foundation of their new sound had finally emerged - paving the way for a creative breakthrough that would shape their future releases.
