Sleeping Woods & The Superfantastic Bling Boom Boys

In the organizer's words:
Sleeping Woods
Driven by their love of Britpop, the two brothers Bene (lead guitar) and Leo Holtermann (vocals, rhythm guitar) decided to form a band in 2014 at the tender ages of 15 and 17. After a fateful meeting at a party, Bene brought the future drummer Lukas (Vogt) to a rehearsal. It quickly became clear that the chemistry was right and that all that was missing was a bass player to make the aspiring musicians' happiness perfect. It was all the more practical that Lukas knew a man without a band on bass with whom he had already met for one or two jam sessions. And so Johnny (Klug) joined them, and after a few weeks the brothers became a real band for the first time.
Initially, the quartet performed under the name "Fountainhead", mainly in youth centers and at school band events. It soon became clear to everyone that this was more than just a hobby and that the band was more than just four friends making music together. Youth centers became clubs, school band events became festivals and rehearsal room demos became the first EP called Without Form, Without Limit in 2020. The band's name has since been changed to Sleeping Woods and, despite the ongoing pandemic, a circle of fans emerged who came to gigs even if they weren't right on their doorstep.
The single Mind The Gap followed in 2021, followed a year later by the second EP Shibboleth. Musically, the project continued to grow, and in 2022 a long-time friend, Colin (synth/keyboard), joined as a fifth member to do justice to the expansion of the sound. This was followed by numerous concerts in NRW, a DIY EP with new songs in a stripped-back vibe and the singles The Lumbago Collective and Mandala Days in 2024. The band has now released its fourth EP Picturesque Lunacy, which explores new sonic boundaries with a tendency towards heaviness without losing the typical Sleeping Woods sound and its spherical elements.
The Superfantastic Bling Boom Boys are a Bochum boy band with fat drums, melodic saxophone, juicy guitar riffs, quivering bass and a show hotter than any blast furnace. From the genres of jazz, rock and reggae, they poured and formed super rock in the heart of the Ruhr region
In 2025, they released their debut album "Diamonds&Diamonds" and immortalized it on vinyl.
