An artist between indie pop, big city melancholy and honest storytelling. Sometimes it only takes one song to change everything. For smello, it was "Marathon". The Berlin-born artist's debut single went straight into the viral charts and laid the foundation for a career that focuses on emotions. With further songs such as "jemand wie du" and "flutlicht", smello has shown how multifaceted and profound modern indie pop and rap can be.

2025 was a year full of movement and new milestones for smello. With his singles "keinsinn", "kein ticket" and "hauseingang", he achieved over 1.2 million streams and ensured a wide reach with expressive visuals on TikTok and Instagram. His first own show at Berlin's LARK was sold out, appearances at Fritz Unsigned and as support at the JBS Open Airs in Hamburg, Berlin and Cologne cemented his reputation as one of the most exciting newcomers of the year.

His music tells stories from life, direct, genuine and full of emotion. smello deals with relationships, growing up and the challenges of everyday life without losing sight of the beautiful moments. His songs are like a ramble through Berlin: hectic, melancholy, full of warmth and with an eye for the details that make up life.

After an intensive year of live performances, smello is now working on his debut EP "demos & deeptalks", which will be released in 2026. The title stands for what his music is all about: Closeness, honesty and a certain rawness that oscillates between excess and reflection. The EP is intended to be the soundtrack for a generation that is looking for its place between big city dreams and self-discovery.

Whether on stage or in the playlist, smello manages to capture emotions and bring them into a form that touches and inspires. His music is more than a soundtrack, it is a companion for all the ups and downs of life.

Now smello is going on his first own headlining tour through Germany.
