In the organizer's words:

Smith & Liddle hail from Teesside and County Durham. After years of sharing records and building a transcendent musical connection, the duo (made up of Elizabeth Liddle and Billy Smith) compose songs that reflect the spirit of the 1970s with their homage to soft rock. Growing up to the sounds of Laurel Canyon and the British Invasion, (Billy) Smith & (Elizabeth) Liddle grew up 25 miles apart in small towns, but didn't meet until Billy was looking for a singer. The chemistry between the two was immediate, and over time their shared musical sensibilities evolved into something unique. Although both Billy and Elizabeth were initially hesitant to use their last names, a late night session listening to Buckingham Nicks on vinyl sealed their decision to name their artist project Smith & Liddle, opting for simplicity and timelessness.

Recently, Smith & Liddle toured the UK in support of Young Gun Silver Fox and played with them at the famous Mojo Club in Hamburg. They also performed on the BBC Introducing stage at the Concourse of the Glasshouse for the BBC Proms on July 26th and have a string of upcoming UK tour dates both headlining and supporting MT Jones.
