In the organizer's words:

Werner Henkel pays particular attention to the growth forms of plants, animal tracks and mineral structures. He perceives specific signs, signatures and gestures in the shapes of nature, whose appearance reflects its inner order and external influences such as the climate, which inspire him to create unexpectedly surprising forms of nature art.

For example, he develops his own characters from the growth forms and ramifications of various tree species. In the artist's eye, the diversity of tree species is transformed into a "syntax of genera" with species-specific lettering. They become legible as "reports from the forests", the interpretation of which Werner Henkel leaves open to the viewer.

Finnisage and artist talk on April 26

At the end of the exhibition on April 26, we cordially invite you to an artist talk with Werner Henkel at 4 pm.

Admission

From 29.3. the summer opening hours apply:
daily 9:00 - 17:00 (last admission 16:30)
in the Green Room (at the end of the greenhouses)
Outdoor: 9:00 - 18:00 (last admission to the garden 17:30).
