An idle frog, a multi-faceted wolf, monkeys that are worse than cats ... The poems of Teresa Arijón and Bárbara Belloc are an expression of love for the world and a multifaceted mirror of the self. For the summer of 2025, the two have relocated from their adopted home of Rio de Janeiro to Lake Starnberg - at Villa Waldberta - and are now presenting their first German poetry collections as well as samples of their latest texts. Teresa Arijón - poet and translator - recently published Un millón de veranos and the partly autobiographical prose La mujer pintada about women who have sat as models in the course of art history. Bárbara Belloc is the author of eight volumes of poetry and a novel and translates from Portuguese, English and Ancient Greek. Silke Kleemann has been translating poetry, novels and children's books from Spanish for 25 years. The pianist Masako Ohta comes from Tokyo and is active in the fields of classical and new music, improvisation and as a performative composer.
