Cappella Gabetta

She is a world star on the cello: with total commitment to the music, the utmost passion and perfect precision, Sol Gabetta has been performing in all the world's major concert halls for over 20 years. She still sees herself as a seeker: searching for her own sound, for the right artistic statement and for works that do justice to the enormous expressive richness of her instrument. In her new program, Sol Gabetta traces the history of Lise Cristiani (1827 - 1853) and creates a concert evening around the repertoire of her predecessor, the first professional cellist in music history.

Program: In the footsteps of Lise Cristiani: A surprise program conceived and presented by Sol Gabetta - with works by Schubert, Offenbach, Mendelssohn and others.
