Since the beginning of the Russian full-scale invasion, various groups have been putting up military resistance, while the anti-imperialist character and continuity of Ukrainian anti-fascist self-defense is often covered up. Especially the groups in Germany that call themselves anti-imperialist do not live up to their claim, spread fake news from Russia and delegitimize the defence of the Ukrainian population against a centuries-old enemy.
In the lecture, this distorted picture is to be sharpened and reorganized through a historical outline, so that leftists of all spectrums in Germany can also immunize themselves against Russian propaganda in the future. That is why we also want to understand the sources that feed Russian imperialist ideology - and whether there is any truth in them at all. It is important that left-wingers do not make the same mistake again and "accidentally" make donations to Russian
right-wing extremist battalions, provide a stage for proven fascists at a Rosa Luxemburg conference or cite alleged Ukrainian anti-fascist groups as a counter-example for arms deliveries in widely read magazines. Because yes, all of this has happened in Germany since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, i.e. since 2014. And the lack of knowledge brings more dangerous alliances together every year.
The lecture will be rounded off with a presentation of self-organized, emancipatory resistance using the example of the group "Radical Aid Force" - an outlook that can show how practical anti-fascist alliances can secure peace.
