Sommerfest in der Barockfabrik - freier Eintritt

On Saturday, September 20, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., the associations based in the Kulturhaus Barockfabrik invite you to a big joint summer festival with live music and a wide range of cultural activities for young and old! The participants will present themselves at three market stalls in the inner courtyard of the historic building. For example, the vhs Aachen will be offering a wheel of fortune and small prizes, the EMR Literature Office will be organizing a book flea market and the Aachen Theatre School will be offering face painting for children.

Supported by a sustainable café trolley, the VERS - Literaturcafé will provide culinary specialties - and of course the outdoor catering will also be open.
In a relaxed supporting program with musical accompaniment, the Barockfabrik shows what is happening here in the quarter and offers plenty of space for personal encounters. Admission to all events is free of charge.

15:00 to 18.30 Market stalls
Knowledge, games & advice: VHS Aachen provides information about its wide range of courses at the summer festival. Between 3 p.m. and 6.30 p.m. there will be advice, an exciting hands-on quiz for children and adults and the chance to win small prizes on the wheel of fortune.

Also ongoing: Information offered by the Aachen Theater School, book bazaar of the Literature Office, etc.

3 p.m. A look behind the scenes (Öcher Schängchen e.V. puppet theater)
The "Öcher Schängche" ensemble cordially invites young and old to take a very special look behind the scenes. Into the space that is otherwise reserved for the audience, where the sets are moved in the smallest of spaces, thunderbolts rumble and the puppeteers breathe life into the historical rod puppets. In good weather, the wooden figures mingle with the guests and can be experienced up close. Puppetry you can touch - the Öcher way.

16.00 Taster course in acting improvisation (Theaterschule Aachen e. V.) Play along! The Theaterschule Aachen offers a short taster course in acting and improvisation for all playful people, young and old. There will be face painting and anyone who wants to can dress up in costume.

17.00 TANZ + POESIE (ARTbewegt e. V., Literaturbüro in der Euregio Maas-Rhein e. V., EuregioKultur e. V.)
In the VERS - Literaturcafé, Aachen poet Klára Hůrková and dancer Yasmin Münter enter into an artistic-literary dialog in which reading passages and improvisational dance relate to each other. Klára Hůrková reads published and unpublished love poems that inspire Yasmin Münter's unique performance. Together with the audience, a spontaneous exchange develops at eye level.
