betastone return to active life with "Mo Cuishle". This time with pent-up energy, more anger in the belly + a good breeze of punk. A lot of passion and patience were required to complete "Mo Cuishle" as a unit. "Mo Cuishle" is not a concept album, but is based on its predecessor "Panthea". Only more brute and uncompromising, without losing touch with the structure and atmosphere.
This time it wasn't an in-house production, but letting go was an important element of "Mo Cuishle". Nils Völker from Access All Areas Studios had a feel for this and incorporated his style. The product thus remains in Bremen's hands and is distributed on a DIY basis. No label, no booker, just your own sweat and that annoying issue of patience again!

Somewhere at ground zero, where the heat tastes of embers and the retina sparks, someone has poured gasoline on the fire. It etches, creaks and hisses. Wood burns. HOLZ, on the other hand, reduce the whole thing to rubble.
HOLZ is stoner, punk, grunge. Somewhere between Queens of the Stone Age, Kyuss and Melvins. And yet they are - of course - completely different from the others. Also because of the German lyrics.
They describe familiar situations, everyday feelings without being too specific, they are full of well-known observations of the world, everyday miniatures about the strangeness of life.
So don't believe what the others tell you. Listen instead.
The sound? It's gnarly and loves madness. Wants to explode. Anyone got a light?
HOLZ, that's Leonard Riegel (guitar/vocals), Martin Nickel (drums) and Maik Blümke (bass). Founded in 2011, imploded at some point, now back again.
Within the past year, HOLZ have recorded a new album and produced it in collaboration with Stephan Grujic (Mottek/Sonny Vincent). Ten songs that make you want to lick batteries. Aggressive and angry, yet without resentment or bitterness. Driving without getting lost.
Recorded live, you can feel the force that HOLZ unleash at their concerts on the album. A shockwave for the audience, energy that sparks and leaves burn holes.
