Filling and beaten metal gilding with master goldsmith Anja Roethele.

The workshop takes place over two Saturday afternoons: June 13 and 20, 2026.

"I'd love to try that too..." is what master goldsmith Anja Roethele hears again and again when she exhibits her gilded spatula work. On two Saturday afternoons in June, you will have the opportunity to pick up a palette knife and gilding brush and create your own work of art in our workshop. No previous knowledge is required. Anja Roethele will give you tips on how to use the putty and you can give free rein to your creativity. Filling is done on wooden bodies that are open on one side; a longer drying phase is required after filling, which is why the workshop is spread over two afternoons. Gilding will then take place on the second day. We work with impact metal, which produces very beautiful results. If you would like to work with real gold leaf/silver leaf, you can of course also do this for an extra charge. At the end of the workshop you will have created two to three objects and perhaps discovered a new passion.

Maximum number of participants: 10 people.
