Special: LA NUIT DE LA GLISSE (OmU)

La Nuit de la Glisse 2025 invites you to a special evening at the cinema with two films that are linked by a common goal: the search for the perfect moment.

The first part, Chronicles of a Wild Decade, pays tribute to the 2010s through personal archive footage by Thierry Donard, which sheds new light on a formative decade in gliding sports. From the vertiginous slopes of Mont Blanc and the monstrous waves of Teahupo'o to the fjords of Northern Europe and the icy rapids of Norway, the film documents the uncompromising commitment of a generation of athletes who redefined the boundaries of their sport.

The second part, Free Birds, takes us into the here and now - to young riders who are taking their disciplines to a new level. Snowboarding in the polar night of Norway, XXL surfing in Nazaré, speedriding with millimeter precision in the Alps or breezy wingfoiling on the rivers of Oregon: every scene is an expression of freedom, aesthetics and mastery. Two eras, two perspectives - and always the same passion.
