SPECIAL SCREENING: Dokumentarfilm "DIE MÖLLNER BRIEFE" mit Filmgespräch

Special screening of the documentary "The Mölln Letters" by Martina Priessner.

The documentary The Mölln Letters by Martina Priessner focuses on the racist arson attack in Mölln in 1992. It follows the story of İbrahim Arslan, a survivor of the attack, his siblings and his mother. İbrahim only learns by chance in 2019 about hundreds of undelivered letters in which many people expressed their sympathy. In the subsequent discussion, we will talk to the director as well as those affected and activists from local and national initiatives about the gaps in Germany's culture of remembrance and the possibilities of remembering in solidarity. The event is a plea for active and compassionate listening, calling for a break with the status quo and a change of perspective. There will also be the opportunity to talk to representatives of the August 12th Initiative and sowas e.V.
