To err is human. Our errors, mistakes and weaknesses, it seems, are inevitably and forever part of the conditions of our existence: because our very birth into the world is an entry into the imperfection of those who raise us, protect us - and damage us. It has always been like this. But does it always have to stay that way? Can it stay that way? If the new world we have created threatens to destroy the foundations of our own existence - doesn't that mean we need a new human being? Without trauma, without shackles, rooted in the moment alone - this is how Miko should grow up, a child of a future that has almost already begun. Vesna and Nils sign a contract with Kali, a non-human educational counselor who promises to free their daughter from the disadvantages of her origins. It soon becomes apparent that Kali has far more effect than they had hoped - or feared. What kind of person will Miko be? Is there a limit to what we consider "human"? And if so, has the limit been a mistake?

Anja Hilling's new play poses fascinating questions of disturbing topicality. Artificial intelligence is a technological reality whose consequences we are still far from grasping. How far are we prepared to go?
