In JAHIMU S-SUWARI [The Hell of Images], Lebanese artist Elie Mouhanna and musician and sound designer Anthony Sahyoun question the power of images in a world characterized by visual overload. Their performance shows a reality in which images no longer serve as orientation but, on the contrary, trigger uncertainty. It is based on texts by Elie Mouhanna, who has developed his own formal language that weaves dance and text into a poetic whole. Oscillating between sound and language, introspection and collective memory, a fragile composition about identity, body and perception of the world develops. All of this culminates in the "Atlas of Terrific Images: For the Lovers of the marvelous and the sublime" - a collection of images that places seemingly unrelated events in a larger visual context. An invitation to find new meanings and sense in the midst of visual sensory overload.
