In their book, the authors Robert Neisen and Andreas Lehmann have, as the blurb says, "for the first time explained in great breadth and depth how the sports club moved between active participation, adaptation and self-assertion during the National Socialist era." Her thesis: "The long-held reputation of the club of workers and poor people, which was in opposition to National Socialism, can no longer be upheld."

Robert Neisen, historian and one of the two authors, will read passages from the book on this evening and talk to former SC press spokesman Rudi Raschke about its creation and the insights gained.
