How can people of different generations, origins, backgrounds or opinions bridge the gap between them and create a connection? What is the spatial and political significance of bridges and their closure or destruction?

Choreographer Golde Grunske and her dancers explore these and other questions in this immersive open-air performance and take the audience on a search for answers that are more relevant today than ever. The pedestrian bridge to Friendship Island provides a stage for a new way of looking at this place - between functionality and poetry. The bridge itself becomes a body, a symbol and is translated into movement. ÜberBrücken creates a dance translation in the field of tension between connection and separation - highly topical, fragile and surprising.
