Spinning workshop with Monika Hennig-Rauth
Spinning fibers into yarn is one of the oldest and most important crafts of mankind - the spinning wheel has been the central tool for centuries. Without this knowledge, there would be no fabrics that characterize our everyday lives. With industrialization, however, spinning almost fell into oblivion. In this workshop, you will learn to understand the spinning wheel. You will learn how to create your own yarn from loose fibers step by step, experience the harmony of hand, eye and foot and discover the joy of creative design with self-spun thread. No previous experience is necessary, a spinning wheel and wool are provided - you are also welcome to bring your own spinning wheel. Immerse yourself in the art of spinning and feel how alive this ancient craft still is today.
