Sportfreunde Stiller are celebrating their 30th anniversary in 2026. To mark the occasion, they are going on tour again and will also be stopping off at the Zirkuszelt. The three band members are looking forward to their concerts and reminisce:

How do you look back on thirty years of band history? From a distance, the view looks like a jungle of life - less populated by poisonous snakes, more by friendly jungle creatures. Behind almost every day of touring are funny experiences, hugs, celebrations and stories with deep roots.
Records and tours become memory plateaus, celebrations become "Do you remember those days?" mammoths. Fraternizations, friendships, tender plants or large-pored potatoes - the smell of celebratory life hangs everywhere.
Standing on stage, tens of thousands singing a song that was written in a grindy rehearsal room: no problem, it's normal. The music becomes a backstage pass into the hearts of strangers who become friends. I can recommend being in a band to anyone. With or without music - the main thing is together, not alone!

FLO

It all began with the "Wonderful Years" - our rebellion of self-searching, mod shuffle, coolness and the idea of bringing three musical styles under one band hat. Even before the first countdown in 1996, Jack Kerouac, Big Muff and the idea of loudness were still running through our heads. 27 minutes later, the brash manifesto of our adolescent existence was born. From dark cellars in front of three curious people to ten thousand soulful people.
From World Cup hits to MTV Unplugged, from records made of wood, gold or platinum to reading tours in opera houses. From Foo Fighters and Grönemeyer as headliners to Ash or Kaiser Chiefs as our support acts. It's all there.
With ten albums, two EPs, millions of concerts (Eggenfelden, Hamburg, Tashkent, New York...) and the opportunity to combine our profession and vocation, we bow down to the tips of our toes before you. Gracias for dancing, singing and empathizing with us. You are the greatest - for 30 wonderful years of Sportfreunde Stiller. Let's go!

It's 1996... A guy with a Britpop haircut asks a guy in a grunge raincoat: "You make music, don't you? Fancy something together? Indie, alternative in German?" A year later, a new bassist with a jazz background and a cap worn backwards: Sportfreunde are born.

We celebrate 30 years of Sportfreunde Stiller. As a person, that means: goodbye youth, real life oh dear. As a band: Hooray, we're still alive! This band has shaped our lives - significantly and inspiringly. Now it's time to celebrate so much that the plonk bounces! Write new stuff, then go on tour with a best-of.
