You have a thought in your head. It absolutely has to get out into the world. You take a deep breath. And now? Perhaps you bring your diaphragm and larynx into position. Your tongue awakens. Your lips join in. Maybe you bring your fingers into play, drawing things in the air. You pull your shoulders towards your ears. You raise your arms. You nod your head. Your body starts to speak. You speak very quickly because you are excited. Or you speak very slowly. Because you want the world to understand your thoughts perfectly.
In this dance piece, professional and non-professional performers explore how we start talking to each other - and who understands what and how. They experiment with German spoken language and German sign language, among other things.
