Stadtrundgang NS-Zeit und Krieg in Rothenburgsort

Before the Second World War, Rothenburgsort was a densely populated residential and business district in the center of Hamburg. In addition to housing for working-class families, important utilities and workplaces (water, gas, goods station) were established in the course of the 19th century. On our tour, we follow the history of the district and trace the consequences of the Nazi dictatorship from 1933 to 1945: Persecution, forced labor, murder and total destruction of the district.

Meeting point: Wasserkunst Elbinsel Kaltehofe (Kaltehofe-Hauptdeich 6-7), information center "Altes Labor"/Villa.
