George Lucas' second film in the STAR WARS saga from 1980 is considered by many fans to be the best ever. Cult characters, darklings, Oscar-winning special effects, fantastic locations and, of course, the multi-award-winning soundtrack by John Williams set the standard for all subsequent installments of the space epic. The audience can look forward to a galactic cinematic and sound journey when the science fiction fairy tale comes to the Isarphilharmonie accompanied live by the Pilsen Philharmonic Orchestra.

The well-known heroes and villains in the turbulent battle for the light and dark side of the Force appear on a large screen to the impressive soundtrack. The rebels have just suffered a bitter defeat: After their secret base was tracked down and destroyed by the Imperial Starfleet, the friends fight their way through separately. In this way, Darth Vader manages to lure Luke into a dangerous trap and challenge him to one of the most legendary duels in film history.
