Then Stax and the Tommy Guns are just the right caliber! With a program consisting of world hits but also lesser-known pieces by greats such as Aretha Franklin, Eddie Floyd, Otis Redding and Etta James, the band from North Hesse delivers a trip to the Memphis blues and soul of the 60s.
Active since 2023, the small big band makes the old songs shine in new splendor with groovy rhythms, two absolute power women on vocals and the obligatory blues "uniform". You can expect a jam-packed evening with earthy blues, funky Motown, the odd gospel and of course some good old soul! Get ready for a musical journey through time to Soulsville USA, known as Memphis-Tennessee!
