The Little Prince meets Debussy
A musical, literary evening with Stefan Hunstein and Mathias Huth

Stefan Hunstein calls his selection of texts "You can only see well with your heart", in which he combines the encounter of Claude Debussy's music with Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's "The Little Prince", this still enchanting and wise fairy tale for adults, which Saint-Exupéry dedicated to his friend Leon Werth.

Stefan Hunstein has reduced the text to the themes of friendship and love, deliberately omitting historical references and thus condensing the message to its essentials: Through his persistent questions, the little prince learns what it means to be responsible for someone, the fox explains to him what it means to be tamed - wonderful metaphors for friendship and love: "The real thing is invisible to the eye. You can only see well with your heart."
Mathias Huth plays various titles from Debussy's piano works.

The actor, director and photographer Stefan Hunstein has worked continuously since the early 1980s at the most renowned German-speaking theaters, including the Bayerisches Staatstheater Munich, the Münchner Kammerspiele, the Burgtheater Vienna, the Deutsches Theater Berlin and the Schauspielhaus Zürich, as well as at the Salzburg Festival and the Ruhrtriennale. Stefan Hunstein is also Director of the Performing Arts Department at the Bavarian Academy of Fine Arts.

Mathias Huth studied musicology at the LMU Munich and at the University of Freiburg/Brsg. with H.H. Eggebrecht, and piano at the Musikhochschule Freiburg. In 1982 he was accepted into Prof. Hans Leygraf's master class at the Mozarteum University of Music, which he completed in 1988 with the soloist exam. He also attended master classes with György Sebók (Bloomington, USA) and György Kurtág, among others. He performs throughout Europe as a soloist, chamber musician and accompanist. He has been a guest at international festivals, including Klangspuren in Schwaaz/Tyrol and Festivo. One focus of his work is musical-literary projects.
