Straßenoper „Die Entführung aus dem Serail“

On June 23 at 4 p.m., Aliceplatz will become an opera stage when the "Music on Wheels" project makes a guest appearance in Offenbach with the popular "street opera". The program includes an abridged version of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's "The Abduction from the Seraglio", which is an integral part of the opera house repertoire due to its popularity. The Spanish woman Constanze, her maid and a servant are captured on a journey to the Orient and sold as slaves. Constanze's fiancé Belmonte sets off for Turkey to free his fiancée... The ensemble consists of selected vocal soloists and a brilliant string quartet. Music director Johannes Erkes leads the performance in a witty and entertaining manner.
