„Strich (auf Rot)" und „Strich (auf Blau)" – Tour zu den Werken von Gerhard Richter
In the organizer's words:
The paintings "Strich (auf Blau)" and "Strich (auf Rot)" were created in 1979/80 in the context of an art-in-architecture project at a vocational school in the district of Soest and, in the monumental format of 1.90 x 20 meters, deal with a central question in Richter's examination of painting. A common thread running through his work is his preoccupation with painting itself, with the question of what it is and how it is created.
