While contemporary witnesses are becoming fewer and fewer for reasons of age, attacks on memorial sites such as Buchenwald are increasing at an alarming rate. So how can the memory of Nazi crimes be kept alive and effective so that it continues to play an appropriate role in the moral orientation of pluralistic societies in the future?
