To sublimate hate - that is the common goal of singer-songwriter Safia Nolin and director Philippe Cyr. They work together to transform thousands of very real insults directed at Safia Nolin into an astonishing, entirely musical creation. What role does freedom of expression play when it erupts as violence? Nolin is at the center of the work, facing a large chorus that showers her with hatred. Sisterhood and solidarity are at the heart of this dramatic celebration of artistic gesture. It also serves as a rousing call to collective action.
