"Soul Fort the Heart" is dedicated to famous hits from soul and jazz - and
celebrates love and life.

With a warm, expressive voice and a fine feel for musical nuances, Susanne Spahn presents an evening full of soul and jazz classics - sometimes elegant and restrained, sometimes full of passion and with improvisational freedom.
Accompanied by the versatile guitarist Anton Stürzer, Susanne interprets selected
interprets selected songs in a way that seems timeless and yet bears her personal signature.

The audience can expect a varied program of classic jazz standards as well as selected hymns from soul and neo-soul. For this evening in the setting of the Theater Drehleier, she deliberately focuses on the acoustic, intimate side of her artistic work, creating an atmosphere of immediate musical closeness. A concert that will have a lasting effect on jazz lovers and soul fans alike.

Brief bios:
Susanne Spahn has made a name for herself as a singer at top-class events for many years. Coming from a classical background, she studied singing at the MUK Vienna and gained stage experience in international opera, operetta and musical productions. She has been touring Austria as part of a renowned gospel ensemble since 2021. With her powerful, velvety voice, she combines soul with jazz elements to create her very own, expressive style.

Anton Stürzer is a graduate of the Munich Guitar Institute MGI and studied guitar in Trossingen. He was a student of Steve McKenna and Geoff Goodman. He also attended workshops with Joe Diorio, Frank Gambale and others. Anton Stürzer has been working as a professional and versatile musician with renowned members of the German jazz scene on stage and in the studio for many years.
