Sven Stricker was born in 1970 in Tönning and grew up in Mülheim an der Ruhr. He studied comparative literature, English and modern history. He has been working as a freelance word director, editor and author since 2001 and has won the German Audiobook Prize several times in this capacity. With "Sörensen hat Angst", Sven Stricker was nominated for the Glauser Prize 2017, the film adaptation of the same name won the German Television Crime Thriller Prize and the Austrian Romy Television Prize in 2021. 2022 Stricker was awarded the Grimme Prize for the screenplay. He lives in Potsdam and has a daughter.
