Motto: "WERT-voll - Monuments as part of our history and identity"

On Sunday, September 14, 2025, it will once again be time to discover unknown gems of our architectural heritage and learn new stories about well-known architecture. This year, the nationwide Open Monument Day will take place under the motto "WERT-voll - Denkmale als Teil unserer Geschichte und Identität".

The Greifswald program for the Open Monument Day will be published in advance on this website. A program flyer and posters will be available in the city area. Additions and changes to the program will be announced on this page as far as possible.

The Open Monument Day is coordinated nationwide by the German Foundation for Monument Protection. The Greifswald program is coordinated and promoted by the City Planning Office, Lower Monument Protection Authority and the Office for Education, Culture & Sport, Department of Culture. The co-organizers themselves are responsible for the organization, form and content of the contributions. All information on the program and venues is based on the information provided by the contributors. The program is subject to changes and errors.
