tanzwuchs #9

In the organizer's words:

tanzwuchs# has been a program for up-and-coming choreographers from Freiburg and the region since 2018, in which an evening of short pieces is created.
Here, young dance creators have the opportunity to further develop a conceptual idea or finalize a work they have begun under professional theater conditions.

Artists are given space for scenic research, technical support, dramaturgical advice and peer-to-peer feedback. They are encouraged to experiment with contemporary techniques and try out new ideas.

The program is curated. The plays are independently completed works and are performed in public on two or three evenings. This evening format has established itself and is very popular with audiences. The tanzwuchs# format was developed by Irene Carreño and Andrea Lagos on behalf of Tanznetz Freiburg.
