Annika Ernst inspires with her unique talent and captivating expression.
The saxophonist plays some of her favorite jazz pieces by Wayne Shorter, Miles Davis and Sam Rivers, among others, as well as her own compositions at Tatort Jazz Interpretations. Her own pieces, which are thematically based on her observations and experiences, have a lasting effect on the audience. She plays together with the Tatort Jazz house band, Matthias Dymke, p, Alex Morsey, b, Uwe Kellerhoff, dr.

The very versatile musician is a saxophonist, composer and instrumental teacher. Having grown up with music from birth, she began playing the tenor saxophone at the age of 14 and discovered her passion for jazz music. After graduating from the Detmold College of Music, she moved to Enschede/NL, where she studied jazz saxophone intensively at the "ArtEZ Hogeschool voor de kunsten". Master classes brought her into contact with well-known jazz musicians and bandleaders such as Michael Abene, Jiggs Whigham, Bert Joris, Claudius Valk, Joe Lovano and John Patitucci. She now lives in the Ruhr area and is also active in the distinctive jazz scene there.
