In the organizer's words:

Anger is a universal force, similar to a storm, unavoidable under certain conditions and recurring by nature. It is a dual force: it is both destructive and a catalyst for change, a reaction to imbalance.

In her solo Tempest, the furious choreographer Lisbeth Gruwez uses the precision of martial arts to transform this elemental force and raw energy into focused strength. An oscillating body that moves between unbridled bursts of energy and the potential for calm clarity.

Anger here becomes a collective current that affects us all. A vibration in a charged atmosphere that we cannot escape. Tempest invites us to absorb and transform the storm: To transform anger into strength, restlessness into clarity. The piece is a dance through the eye of the storm - where it reveals the stillness within.
