Tett (der Landstreicher): EP Release Konzert

In the organizer's words:

With his new EP "Wenn die Halme auf den grünen Feldern stehen" (release date November 27, 2025), Tett presents a classic songwriter's work that can be understood as a homage to Hermann Hesse's (German poet, 1877, †1962) novel "Knulp". In the fog of dark romanticism, Tett tells three eerie, interlocking stories that need to be heard in one piece, thus expressing his pacifist attitude between the lines. Joscha Grunewald, known for the production and composition of well-known podcast formats and documentaries (ARD, Zeit, Spotify), has been enlisted as producer. Tett was accompanied on the plucked acoustic guitar by the trained guitarist Daniel Friedrich (space rock with The E.T. Hotline Project).Tett is a singer and songwriter from the Teutoburg Forest who can tell an entire movie in just one song. With charming poetry, he sings about freedom and adventure in his previous releases. After a few band projects, the musician has only been performing live as a singer-songwriter with his acoustic guitar for a few years: "My concerts welcome everyone with any fate - whether they are teenagers or old hippies, beggars or bigwigs." With this philosophy, he promises an emotional experience that can also be heard on all his previous releases, with which he won 2nd place in the Dieter Wasilke Folk Prize in 2023 and 1st place in the Peter Rohland Singing Competition in 2024.After Tett combined the art of traditional songwriting with elements of folk and pop on his first solo album "Der Landstreicher" and his last EP "Endlose Sommerferien" came across as playful lofi pop, his new release "Wenn die Halme auf den grünen Feldern stehen" once again focuses entirely on classic songwriting. Based on Hermann Hesse's novel "Knulp", Tett pays tribute to the literary and humanistic legacy of the poet and author. The EP starts exactly where Hesse let his eponymous novel hero Knulp end in 1915: at the roadside. 110 years later, Tett not only adds another chapter to the story of the tramp, but also lets him become part of a mystical transformation at the "Waldesgrund" as a ghost. Finally, in "Lied der Linde", a Knulp-like figure becomes embroiled in a dramatic love story set against the backdrop of the First World War, which can be understood as a powerful warning. To celebrate the release, Tett is going on a small mini-tour through NRW, with guitarist Daniel Friedrich accompanying him. The two will be live at Freiraum:Kunst in Krefeld on November 27, at Naturfreundehaus Langendreer-Bochum on November 28 and at Souls & Street Store in Bielefeld on November 29.
