The 502s describe their own music as "folk music that went to the beach" and hit the nail on the head. Banjos, trumpets, sing-along choruses and an energy that bounces like a cannonball into a swimming pool are the components that make the band's danceable sound seem like a bright, unstoppable sunshine of happiness. With the two viral songs "Just A Little While" and "Magdalene" from the 2021 album "Could It Get Better Than This" , The 502s have celebrated their greatest successes to date. On September 5, the band released their fourth studio album "Easy Street", which once again fits perfectly with terms such as beach folk and feel-good folk and brings the band from Florida on tour to Germany in January.

The 502s were founded in 2015 by Ed Isola and Matthew Tonner in Maitland, Florida. After the "The 502s EP" (2016), the minimalist song "Enjoy the Ride" on the debut album "Because We Had To" (2018) became the band's first major hit, quickly captivating audiences with its laid-back indie folk sound. In 2021, The502s celebrated their biggest year yet, laying the foundations for their international breakthrough with the singles "Magdalene" and "Just A Little While", both of which went viral on TikTok. With their accompanying album "Could It Get Better Than This", the band could hardly have chosen a better title for this high point in their career. Following this success, the band released the "Just Another EP" with the hit song "Hey Julia" in 2022. The EPs "Stories To Tell" and "Pure Serotonin" followed in 2023, before The 502s dedicated themselves to themselves in 2024 with the album "The 502s" and songs such as "hey, honey" and "Perfect Portrait of Young Love". On their latest concept album "Easy Street", the band dedicates 13 songs entirely to the bliss of a beach town in a carefree dreamland - with warm sand, tiki cocktails and endless sunshine. The result is a mix of sensitive melodies and great harmonies that act as a powerful antidote to the daily grind. Introduced by the first single "Summer Fling", The502s transport us sonically directly to the imaginary beach of the fictitious city, where we laugh with friends and sing the song at the top of our lungs - regardless of whether we are actually standing in our kitchen or sitting in the office. We can only guess what kind of euphoria the band will trigger at the concerts on their Easy Street Tour. What is clear is that all the gray clouds of everyday life will disappear when The 502s perform their new album in Hamburg, Cologne and Munich on their Easy Street Tour in January - after all, the band isn't nicknamed "The happiest band on earth" for nothing.
