For a few years now, The Callous Daoboys have been working on breaking the rules of the metal world and further complicating the invisible formulas of mathcore.

Bandleader and frontman Carson Pace described the current album "I Don't Want to See You in Heaven",released in May 2025, as a small "museum of failure", with the wildly sprawling heavy fusion sound spectrum on it being even broader than before. In any case, the six-piece gang from Georgia recently transformed the aforementioned "museum" into a crazy traveling exhibition that
attention spans (for example with songs like "Distracted by the Mona Lisa") and, above all, invites you to go crazy collectively. While album highlights such as "Two-Headed Trout" or "The Demon of Unreality Limping Like A Dog" sound like a cabinet of curiosities.

Just as the band's name is based on a "mixed double" (aka spoonerism) - the Dallas Cowboys became the Callous Daoboys - there have also been some shifts in the band's history: After the first two EPs in 2016/2017, the mathcore freethinkers completely reshuffled the cards to present their debut album "Die on Mars" (2019). The session released in 2022 with
"Celebrity Therapist" in 2022, Carson Pace, Maddie Caffrey, Daniel Hodsdon, Jackie Buckalew, Matthew Hague and Amber Christman finally released the current "I Don't Want to See You in Heaven" in the early summer of 2025, which even reached the
top 40 album charts in the USA. While they could previously be roughly categorized between nu-metal, emo and mathcore (their influences include Korn, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Linkin Park and System of a Down), they advanced to the top of the charts with their new longplayer.
